John Boy Adamson

John Boy Adamson, lead guitar in Monkey's Uncle
Lead Guitar, Vocals and Tracks

John Boy’s journey with the guitar began at a tender age of 8, under the tutelage of his father, a classical guitarist and with Tony Roland a local reputation in Rock and Jazz. This early exposure to diverse musical genres laid a strong foundation for John, who, since 1979, has been a prominent figure in various bands, primarily as a lead guitarist.

His skill and dedication have shone through in his performances with “Saffire” and the Pink Floyd tribute band “Eclipse,” where his contributions have been pivotal. John’s commitment to his art is evident in his continuous pursuit of excellence, as he tirelessly works on refining his technique, experimenting with new tracks, and integrating effects to enhance his sound. His evolution as a musician is a testament to his passion and the enduring influence of his father’s mentorship. (His band mates refer to him as “Jukebox Jonny”)
